Hello everyone – happy hump day!!

Words cannot even begin to describe how much I cannot wait for this week to end!!!! Hopefully, you’ve all had a less stressful week than I have.

Once upon a time, I used to get EXTREMELY home sick. I would cry myself to sleep and have happy dreams about my family and countdown to the next time I would see them again… Fast forward a few years later, home became a whole new place to me… had a whole new meaning. I realised maybe home is where we want it to be.

I wrote today’s poem on one of the many nights where I had tears as a companion.. enjoy and don’t forget to drop a comment.

Oh! Give me a home like paradise
Where the bulls and antelopes play
Where the mouse talks
And the lion will laugh at my running and jumping
And the night poses more joy

Home! Where human takes no pleasure in bitterness
Like the moon appreciates the egos of the sun in the day
Where fiesta flaunts like air
And the skies are not cloudy always

Oh! Give me a home
Where the sun shines never to scorch
Where there’re no Kings, Queens or Governors
Where every man is the lord of his life
And where all seasons bring reason for joy

Oh! I need a home
Where we take no gain in mocking
Where we can soar high like the eagle
Like the ocean raising its tides high
And we’ll forever walk on gold

Such is the home I long for.
