Still on micro poems and finding how to place my words… enjoy today’s post.
As usual, you can reply to my tanka in the comments section.
The blank canvases
They weep…longing to be touched
Edges frayed…dwindling
I pray to nine goddesses
To bless me – I need a muse
First line of a Tanka/Haiku cannot have SEVEN syllables:
To bless I need muse
She is there in and with you
Make sure-put to use!
All the best!

My tanka doesn’t start with seven syllables. The first line reads ‘the blank canvasses’ which is 5 syllables

You are right Nvsubbaraman, you cannot use the last line of a Tanka, (as it has seven syllables), it is impossible to write a tanka using the last line of a Tanka, it can only be done with Haiku Poetry.
Hope you are all having a great weekend.

When I have had a better experience with such a new form of poetry, I would love to try this. For now, I will say, this is magnificent!’
