Tetractys

It feels like it wasn’t so long ago I was happy about the long weekend… It’s not too early to start counting down to the next bank holiday right?? (32 days to go!!!)

Still in the spirit of writing forms of poetry, Today I have taken on double tetractys.  (…just because I wanted to challenge myself).

PS – I’m working on another collaboration with Nortina and I can’t wait to share what we’re cooking up with you all!!!

Anyway, enjoy today’s poem, and don’t forget you can converse freely in the comments sections 🙂

“Don’t sacrifice yourself too much, because if you sacrifice too much there’s nothing else you can give and nobody will care for you.”

― Karl Lagerfeld

Don’t
Be lost
In a world
Where you know not
The person you are…for your life should not
Be solely dependent on another
Build your own strength
Limit not
Your own
Faith

Break
Yourself
From the walls
You’ve built within
For it keeps your fears close…so let go
Let go, let loose, take a breath and jump
Feel the cool air
Let the wind
Make you
Free

Faith indeed is the life blood for the human beings. May be FAITH on God, the people, the Society and on the self!
    God bless you.

  3. I love this poem, Ameena. And I like how you include links to let your readers know more about the types of poems you write. I may need to keep these in mind in case I ever make more poetry posts. But instead of writing my own poems, I would like to explicate them.

  4. I like your poem. It reminds me about not getting too wrapped up with pleasing others and letting go of my true self. Thank you.
